As you can see from the photos, much of my landscape is still under ice, albeit quickly receding, but ice nonetheless.

The grape hyacinth leaves have emerged and, of course, hold the promise of spring. The plants in pots that I covered in mulch to winter over also have been unearthed by the melting ice and some of them even look alive.

Indoors, a plain, red amaryllis is about to unfurl, which will be the only blooms in my life for a while.

Great to see your photos from snowy IN. I am in snow-covered Pennsylvania, but the temperature suddenly shot up and I managed to find some flowers outside. Happy GBBD, Carolyn

My front yard (south facing) has no snow on it after today, but the back yard is still a winter wonderland. You reminded me that I didn’t include my amaryllis in my bloom day post, even though it is currently blooming.

your garden looks great all covered with snow. But i hope you get some spring soon and some full blooms in your garden
