Carolyn is the author of “Go Native: Gardening With Native Plants and Wildflowers in the Lower Midwest” and “Got Shade? A Take It Easy Approach for Today’s Gardener” Her talk at Irvington Community School, 6040 East Pleasant Run Parkway, South Drive, will be on gardening with native plants. Sponsored by the Irvington Garden Club and Bookmamas, admission is free. Carolyn, a co-founder of the Indiana Native Plant and Wildflower Society, and her husband, Peter Harstad, former head of the Indiana Historical Society, moved to Minnesota several years ago.
