Author Jo Ellen Meyers Sharp will speak at Epworth United Methodist Church, 6450 Allisonville Road, on Sunday, March 29, on tips for growing edible plants in your flower bed. All are welcome to attend the presentation at 10 a.m. in the church sanctuary.

Sharp is editor and part owner of Indiana Living Green magazine. As the Hoosier Gardener, she has been writing and speaking about natural gardening for nearly 20 years. She also is a garden coach, a landscape consultant and works every spring at Sullivan Hardware & Garden at 71st Street and Keystone Avenue.
An Indianapolis-based free-lance writer, Meyers Sharp is a co-author of Indiana Gardener’s Guide Revised Edition. She also contributes to several publications, including the Indianapolis Business Journal, The Indianapolis Star, Housetrends, Angie’s List magazine, the American Gardener and others.
She is director of the Garden Writers Association, a board member of the Indianapolis Museum of Art Horticultural Society, secretary of Friends of Garfield Park, and secretary of the Marion County Extension Board of Directors. She is also a member of the Indiana Nursery and Landscape Association, Indiana Organic Gardeners Association, and the Marion County Master Gardeners.
