Author Debra Prinzing and photographer David Perry have posted a podcast with Jan Roozen, a spring bulb specialist from the Northwest United States. Roozen offers tips on how to use the daffodil (Narcissus) as a cut flower in a vase. His reference to the story of Narcissus seems quite apt in his explanation of why daffs don’t mix well with other flowers.
His advice holds for Indiana gardeners as well as other cut flower enthusiasts.
