About 20 volunteers planted 450 pansies in the containers at the Indianapolis City Market Saturday.
The volunteers, including Marion County Master Gardeners, also will clean up some of the raised beds around the market. The market will provide coffee and bagels for the crews. The crews worked from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. They also planted four containers at the former City Hall, one block north of the City Market.
Jo Ellen Meyers Sharp and Carol Mullins, from Indianapolis Downtown Inc., have coordinated the planting.
