Garden Coach

Jo Ellen Meyers Sharp, The Hoosier Gardener, has 30 years’ experience growing all types of ornamental plants — annuals, bulbs, ground covers, perennials, shrubs and trees.

She is knowledgeable about native and exotic plants, those that attract wildlife or have multiple-season interest in urban and suburban landscapes, small spaces and containers.

Jo Ellen promotes a laid-back, low-maintenance, sustainable approach to gardening. Experienced with residential, commercial and public projects, she partners with other landscape professionals when needed for design and installation.

Coaching helps new homeowners, beginning gardeners, those with overgrown landscapes or those who just want to know more about their plants. Design, maintenance, problem-solving and plant identification questions can be addressed on-site. (Great gift idea!)

Rates: One-time session: $70/hour. Special rate for four visits a year with e-mail accessibility other times: $60/hour, paid in advance. Travel fee of one-half hourly rate may apply.

What Customers are Saying

“I’m loving going through your plant suggestions. Like a kid in a candy store! Thank you for your wonderful guidance! Will have a couple of questions after I complete all the searches.

“I so enjoyed meeting you and discussing plants. Hope we can do it again as our landscaping continues to be tweaked.

“I’ve just sent your payment which was truly money well spent. Thank you again.” ~Barb W.
